ACCIDENTAL BEAUTY

Cross Road Gallery became the organization that collects objects and situations of accidental beauty and tries to make them visible in their own context.

Together with fellow student Raky I shared the amazement of the transformation of a certain crossroad nearby the RCA in London. Due to maintenance work on the crossroad all the traffic lights had been covered with orange bags by T.C.S.U. (Traffic Control Systems Unit). In our opinion T.C.S.U. had transformed a normal junction into an art installation.

I wanted to share this view with all that would cross the road and make people see the beauty of this intervention by T.C.S.U.

I originated Cross Road Gallery for the occasion to present the orange covered traffic lights in the context of a temporary Gallery.
